三.Unsuitable materials and precautions
1.Oversized or overweight materials
Although LG type chain feeder has strong conveying capacity, it is not suitable for conveying oversized or overweight materials. In terms of size, when the size of material exceeds the width and height of the trough, the material can not enter the trough smoothly, and even if it barely enters, it will be stuck in the conveying process, resulting in equipment failure.
From the weight point of view, the chain, scraper and driving device of LG type chain feeder have their own load limit. If the conveyed material is overweight, the chain may break due to excessive tension and the scraper may be bent or damaged. The drive unit needs to provide more power to drive the overweight material, which may cause the motor to be overloaded and burn out the motor.
2.Highly viscous and easily lumped materials
High viscous and easily lumped materials will bring many problems when conveyed by LG type chain feeder. For highly viscous materials, such as adhesives in some chemical raw materials, high viscosity polymers, etc., they are easy to adhere to the surface of the trough and scraper. In the process of conveying, with the continuous adhesion of materials, the effective conveying area of the trough and scraper will gradually reduce, resulting in reduced conveying efficiency. A large amount of material adhesion may also increase the scraper’s operating resistance, increase the load of the drive device, or even lead to equipment shutdown.
Materials that are prone to caking, such as damp cement and salts, are prone to forming lumps during conveying. These lumps may get stuck between the chain and the sprocket, or block the outlet of the trough, affecting the normal conveying of materials. Lumpy materials will also cause additional impact and wear on the chain and scraper, shortening the service life of the equipment.
